Role Overview

CreatorIQ is seeking a Senior FP&A Manager to join the finance team as an embedded partner for the Product and Engineering organizations in Los Angeles, operating under a flexible remote work model. This hands-on, high-visibility role suits an experienced financial professional who wants to guide strategic investments, cloud infrastructure spend, and product roadmap decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary finance business partner to Product and Engineering leadership to influence decisions and guide strategic planning.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for headcount planning, cloud infrastructure, and third-party tooling.
Partner with engineering leaders to track and optimize cloud hosting costs across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
Build forecasting models for variable, consumption-based costs tied to new product lines, API usage, and AI model inference.
Develop consumption-based pricing recommendations, margin targets, and breakeven usage levels for product features.
Analyze team productivity metrics such as cost per engineer and R&D spend as a percentage of revenue.
Construct ROI and business-case frameworks for major technology investments, platform re-architecture, and build-versus-buy decisions.
Support the accounting department with the capitalization of internally developed software following ASC 350-40 rules.
Design recurring dashboards and reporting mechanisms to increase leadership visibility and accountability.

Requirements

Bring ten or more years of FP&A or finance business partnership experience, with at least five years supporting Product and Engineering teams in the SaaS or technology sector.
Hold a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
Demonstrate hands-on experience forecasting variable and consumption-based costs while building usage-based pricing models.
Possess familiarity with AI and LLM-related cost structures, token-based pricing, and vendor fees.
Exhibit strong financial modeling skills in Excel, alongside proficiency in SQL and financial planning platforms.
Understand software capitalization rules regarding engineering headcount and project costs.

Nice to Have

Prior work history within a B2B SaaS organization featuring a strong enterprise customer base.
Experience supporting investor-grade reporting frameworks associated with private equity or growth-equity ownership.
Exposure to mergers, acquisitions, or technical due diligence processes.
