What you will do
- Own the end-to-end delivery of projects, which includes personally building, operating data, configuring the stack, or setting up infrastructure as needed.
- Guide the engineering team on the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Establish precise engineering planning by defining technical specifications, clearly scoping tasks, and driving execution toward on-time delivery.
- Lead and organize the team focused on building custom AI and data solutions for enterprise clients.
- Allocate work among the team based on skills and performance metrics to align with business objectives.
- Monitor development processes to optimize for speed and efficiency within the iterative environment.
- Conduct spot reviews, provide actionable feedback, and proactively identify and mitigate technical risks.
What you need
- Possess a proven track record of leading teams, particularly in startup or fast-moving, project-based settings, successfully delivering complex technical work under tight deadlines.
- Must have expert-level, current engineering ability, including proficiency in Python and JavaScript ecosystems, with the capacity for personal delivery.
- Demonstrate data fluency through proficiency in data analysis, data quality practices, statistical analysis, data manipulation, and tools like Pandas, NumPy, and SQL.
- Require a minimum of seven years in software engineering experience, coupled with at least two years of experience leading a team of five to six or more people.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is necessary.
- Backgrounds in AI, data science, or data engineering are strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills are essential for coordinating with cross-functional partners.
