Role Overview

In this position, located in Helsinki, the professional will guide a multidisciplinary group of Software Engineers, ML Engineers, and Data Scientists within the AI Platform organization. The team builds advanced systems that process marketing data to supply actionable recommendations for advertisers. The role requires a hybrid schedule of working three days per week at the office while driving strategic execution, technical vision, and adherence to security and privacy guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and grow the Ad Performance Recommendation team through regular 1:1s, coaching, and career development plans.
Drive the creation of AdTech-specific machine learning models, predictive capabilities, and simulation techniques.
Optimize current models to improve scalability, efficiency, and overall performance.
Collaborate cross-functional teams to guarantee that AI-driven features produce measurable business value.
Partner with the recruiting department to source and onboard top technical talent.
Define long-term AI strategy and architecture in coordination with other platform leaders.
Ensure all applications comply strictly with security, ethical AI, and data privacy standards.

Requirements

Minimum of 7 years of professional experience building services and products.
At least 5 years of practical experience applying machine learning to real-life challenges.
Minimum of 3 years of experience leading engineering teams.
Proficiency in key machine learning technologies, including Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and SQL.
Proven track record of delivering scalable machine learning systems directly into production.
Capability to conduct hands-on technical guidance, including code reviews and pair programming.
Understanding of security and compliance regulations associated with personal data.
Master of Science or Ph.D. degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or AI.
Fluent written and spoken English communication skills.
Ability to work from the Helsinki office three days per week.
