Role Overview

The Senior Software Engineer position is based in Berlin, Germany, requiring attendance at the office three days per week. The professional joining this team will design core backend services, support data scientists in deploying machine learning models, and contribute to the optimization of campaign products used by global advertisers.

Key Responsibilities

Create, construct, and manage backend services that form the foundation of campaign optimization products.
Actively participate in work planning, team retrospectives, and process improvements.
Assist data scientists in transitioning machine learning models into production environments.
Guide team members on software development methods, including testing, monitoring, and clean code principles.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and infrastructure stakeholders to convert business needs into practical solutions.
Engage in pair programming, debugging, and knowledge sharing sessions with colleagues.

Requirements

Five or more years of experience in developing and deploying production-grade software.
Two or more years of experience utilizing cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP.
Background in developing and maintaining services under SLA.
Problem-solving approach paired with an analytical mindset.
Proficiency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Capability to work from the Berlin office three days per week.

Nice to Have

Experience with Node.js, React, and TypeScript.
Practical background with modern machine learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
