As a Senior Deployed AI Engineer, you will own features end to end across the entire technology stack. You will design React front ends, Python or Node backend services, RAG architectures, and cloud deployments while maintaining direct client exposure. You will also mentor junior team members and contribute to internal reusable components and engineering standards.
Success in this role requires a blend of full-stack engineering breadth and deep expertise in major AI platforms like Google, Anthropic, or OpenAI. Ideal candidates possess an entrepreneurial mindset, strong communication skills for client-facing discussions, and a commitment to building reliable, monitored, and production-grade artificial intelligence systems.
What you will do
- Design and develop user-facing interfaces in TypeScript and React alongside backend services and APIs built with Python or Node.
- Implement agentic behaviors including orchestration, tool and function calling, memory management, and safety guardrails.
- Construct retrieval-augmented generation pipelines covering ingestion, chunking, embeddings, and vector or hybrid search.
- Write comprehensive evaluation suites and regression tests while monitoring cost, latency, and system quality in production.
- Deploy solutions on cloud infrastructure utilizing containers, serverless configurations, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Represent Artefact directly with clients by communicating progress, scoping solutions, building demos, and supporting pre-sales activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development while helping establish internal engineering standards.
What you need
- Three to five years of professional experience in software or data engineering with hands-on AI tool and LLM development over the past year.
- Strong programming proficiency in Python and TypeScript or JavaScript, alongside API development and consumption experience.
- Practical background in front-end development using React or similar frameworks, plus at least one backend framework.
- Direct experience building RAG architectures, working with embeddings and vector search, and using agentic frameworks like LangGraph, LangChain, or agent SDKs.
- Specialization in a major AI platform ecosystem such as Google, Anthropic, or OpenAI, combined with experience on one cloud platform like GCP, Azure, or AWS.
- Familiarity with agentic coding tools including Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex, or Cursor, alongside data pipeline maintenance.
- Professional English proficiency at a C1 or C2 minimum level for daily collaboration with international clients and colleagues.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- Experience with MCP servers, multi-agent patterns, or LLM evaluation tooling such as LangSmith, Langfuse, or promptfoo
- Experience with Terraform or CI/CD pipelines
- Certifications on major AI platforms or cloud providers
