About this role
Fora needs a Senior Data Scientist to scale marketing and growth initiatives by refining incrementality measurement and experimentation as the go-to-market organization expands. Operating as a foundational member of the Data Science and Analytics team, this professional will partner directly with growth leadership to optimize acquisition channels, shape lifecycle strategy, and inform major investment decisions across customer funnels.
Day-to-day work centers on designing lift studies, managing attribution models, and predicting customer value to improve targeting. Ideal candidates combine strong technical fluency in SQL and Python with a pragmatic focus on real-world business outcomes rather than theoretical models. Anyone joining this team will also utilize frontier AI tooling daily to accelerate analysis and prototyping.
What you will do
- Design and analyze incrementality experiments such as geo tests, holdouts, and lift studies to measure marketing performance accurately.
- Partner with customer acquisition, lifecycle, and membership teams to test new channels and shape broader growth strategies.
- Own attribution and media mix modeling to determine where the next marketing dollar should be invested.
- Model customer value, propensity, and retention to sharpen targeting and personalization efforts.
- Raise technical standards across the data team by mentoring peers and establishing best practices for processes and tools.
What you need
- Bring five or more years of experience in growth data science, marketing science, or consumer analytics, ideally within consumer or marketplace companies.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in marketing measurement, including incrementality testing, experiment design, causal inference, attribution, and media mix modeling.
- Show proven capability in building machine learning models and deploying them into production environments.
- Possess advanced SQL skills alongside proficiency in Python or another scripting language.
- Have hands-on experience using modern cloud data stacks and data modeling best practices.
- Utilize LLM tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or OpenAI Codex to accelerate analysis and prototyping.
