Key Responsibilities

Establish functional definitions, measurement frameworks, and evaluation protocols for non-deterministic AI features.
Execute continuous performance evaluations of APIs, software development kits, and data representations from the end user perspective.
Drive minimum viable product delivery against technical designs while balancing perfection with practical increments.
Construct robust data pipelines for ingestion, entity resolution, and quality checks across streaming and batch jobs.
Research and integrate external datasets, benchmarks, and models to optimize technical solutions.
Design automated feedback loops that leverage product usage data to improve underlying functionality.
Define interaction boundaries between large language models and external tools to prevent failures like hallucinations or stale contexts.
Optimize request latency and operational costs through effective caching, routing, and prompt structuring.
Participate in an on-call rotation to guarantee system availability and reliability for customers around the clock.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline.
Minimum of five years of software engineering experience with production ownership of SDKs, pipelines, or services.
At least two years of professional experience releasing features powered by large language models to active users.
Strong data engineering proficiency using SQL and distributed processing frameworks.
Demonstrated fluency in tool calling, agent orchestration, and handling non-deterministic system failure modes.
Advanced programming capabilities in Python or TypeScript.
Prior experience designing evaluation methodologies for non-deterministic software products.

Nice to Have

Background in geospatial data technologies covering routing, geocoding, or OpenStreetMap.
Experience designing public APIs or software development kits for external developers.
Familiarity with Model Context Protocol or alternative tool transports.
History of running evaluations directly within continuous integration pipelines.
Exposure to automotive platforms, in-vehicle infotainment, or voice pipeline technologies.
