The accounting team maintains financial operations while adopting artificial intelligence tooling to scale the department efficiently. Incoming team members handle global accounting closes, prepare audit documentation, and drive finance transformation initiatives.
Candidates joining this San Francisco-based organization will oversee month-end close procedures, manage daily cash applications, and collaborate with FP&A on monthly reporting packages. Ideal applicants bring a blend of public and private company accounting backgrounds, maintain a structured and self-directed approach, and demonstrate enthusiasm for building an automated finance function.
What you will do
- Manage the end-to-end accounting close procedure globally alongside the Accounting Lead.
- Prepare reconciliations and supporting documentation for cash, prepaids, fixed assets, payroll, and accruals.
- Handle daily ad hoc tasks including vendor bill reviews, corporate credit cards, and employee reimbursements.
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely submission of requests for global and local statutory audits.
- Drive finance transformation initiatives by upgrading the tech stack and implementing close management software.
- Partner with FP&A to prepare monthly reporting packages featuring period-over-period analysis.
What you need
- Bring four to eight years of accounting experience combining public and private company backgrounds.
- Demonstrate proficiency in US GAAP standards.
- Identify areas for operational improvement and build solutions utilizing artificial intelligence.
- Act as a structured, self-directed, and detail-oriented problem solver who can design and scale new processes.
Nice to have
- Previous IPO experience with an enterprise B2B software company
- CPA license and/or Big 4 experience
- Proficiency with modern office-of-the-CFO technology stacks
