Salesforce Developer
About this role
To address scaling challenges in go-to-market operations, Anthropic needs a skilled Salesforce Developer to design, build, and maintain the platform powering core customer motions and quote-to-cash workflows. This practitioner will translate complex pricing and packaging requirements into robust Apex, Flow, and integration solutions while collaborating across RevOps, Finance, Legal, and Billing Engineering.
Team members operate in an AI-first environment, utilizing Claude and internal AI tooling as standard practice for writing, reviewing, and shipping code. Success in this position requires the ability to navigate ambiguity independently, implement maintainable architectures, and partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to support rapid business growth.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Flow automation in alignment with internal platform standards.
- Design and build quote-to-cash infrastructure within Salesforce, covering product catalogs, pricing models, and order lifecycles.
- Extend CPQ functionality and implement agentic selling through custom pricing and quote-calculation logic.
- Build and own integrations between Salesforce and external billing, provisioning, and finance systems.
- Support new product and pricing launches by modeling SKU and catalog changes for consistent downstream reporting.
- Integrate Claude and internal AI development tools directly into daily build and code-review workflows.
- Partner with DevOps, data teams, and business analysts to manage releases, test coverage, and data governance.
What you need
- Hands-on production experience with Salesforce development including Apex, SOQL, LWC, and Flow.
- Demonstrated background building or extending CPQ and quote-to-cash functionality with custom code.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with billing, ERP, or provisioning systems via APIs or middleware tools.
- Working knowledge of SFDX, source-controlled metadata, and structured sandbox-to-production release processes.
- Active use of AI-assisted development tools to write, review, and verify code output.
- Basic SQL skills and comfort working alongside data warehouse environments.
Nice to have
- Salesforce Platform Developer I and II certifications
- Advanced Administrator or Application/System Architect certification
- Deep understanding of Salesforce platform constraints and governor limits in CPQ scenarios
- Experience implementing a CPQ solution end to end or executing a platform migration
- Familiarity with billing and finance platforms like Stripe, Metronome, or Oracle alongside usage-based pricing models
