About this role
XTX Markets is constructing a large-scale data center in Finland to support its growing research cluster and algorithmic trading operations, which rely on extensive computational resources and machine learning infrastructure. The Quality Engineer for Data Center Operations will oversee operational excellence, reliability, quality assurance, and compliance across these facilities. This person will establish quality-management frameworks, monitor performance metrics, support infrastructure transitions, and collaborate with engineering, legal, sustainability, and management teams.
The position exists to provide leadership and operational teams with reliable assurance that data center processes are controlled, compliant, measurable, and continuously improving. Candidates who succeed in this environment typically possess strong analytical capabilities, a collaborative approach, and experience bridging technical operations with regulatory and quality standards.
What you will do
- Develop, implement, and maintain a proportionate quality-management framework for data center operations.
- Monitor compliance with approved operational processes, service requirements, quality standards, and internal policies.
- Support operational readiness activities, including commissioning and the handover of new data center infrastructure into live operations.
- Coordinate and assure the quality and timely provision of data required for regulatory, sustainability, and operational reporting.
- Facilitate root-cause analyses for operational incidents and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain document-control and records-management practices for operational procedures, MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs.
What you need
- Experience in quality assurance or operational excellence within data center operations or similar high-reliability environments.
- Familiarity with national and European Union legislative, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and control measures.
- Experience with performance monitoring, data validation, and defining operational quality metrics and KPIs.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across engineering, legal, environmental, and management teams.
