About this role
Maintaining reliable operating systems without taking the campus offline is the core challenge this facilities operations project manager will solve across sites in Memphis and Southaven. The engineering team operates with a flat structure where hands-on contribution and strong prioritization are vital for managing mission-critical infrastructure. This professional will own a portfolio of retrofits, upgrades, activations, and vendor-led maintenance projects that bridge the gap between heavy technical construction and live operational plants.
Day-to-day responsibilities involve coordinating closely with facilities supervisors, technicians, construction teams, and engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project handover. Candidates who thrive in this environment possess deep technical credibility in mechanical and electrical systems, combined with steady leadership to guide projects from initial scope through final commissioning. A methodical approach to risk mitigation and vendor management ensures high-quality delivery without disrupting ongoing AI supercomputing operations.
What you will do
- Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders as the primary facilities operations project representative.
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of facilities operations projects from initial scoping and planning through installation, commissioning, and handover.
- Develop and execute site improvement, retrofit, and activation projects covering mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and compressed air systems.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to maintain safety, schedule adherence, and operational readiness on a live campus.
- Create and align project schedules with broader infrastructure goals through cross-functional collaboration with engineering and construction teams.
- Manage vendor and contractor finances, change orders, and accounts payable to control costs and support accurate forecasting.
- Enforce site safety procedures and halt any work performed under unsafe conditions.
What you need
- Hold a bachelor's degree.
- Bring at least five years of experience managing facilities operations or infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrate success leading on-site project teams and building trust with technical stakeholders.
- Possess previous experience working in data center, hyperscale, or industrial facilities operations.
- Understand building management systems and automated facilities monitoring processes including HVAC, fluid plumbing, and generators.
- Maintain familiarity with CMMS software, construction tools, and Microsoft applications.
