About this role

Professionals who thrive in ambiguity and enjoy defining problems from scratch will find a strong fit in this product management role. Anthropic is expanding access to Claude for individuals, businesses, and platform developers, creating a critical need for centralized identity, verification, and access systems. This position drives the end-to-end product strategy and user experience for account and access primitives across every surface and internal tool.

The person who takes on this responsibility will work closely with engineering, legal, safeguards, and go-to-market teams to align conflicting requirements and support API designs. Safe access operates as a new zero-to-one product that sits directly on the path of every model launch. Success requires strong execution, clear written communication, and a dedication to the mission of creating safe and reliable AI systems.

What you will do

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for account and access primitives so that internal teams can provision access with minimal support.
  • Manage the end-to-end experience of getting and managing access for internal stakeholders and external customers consistently across every surface.
  • Support API designs and user experience for access APIs that platforms, resellers, and internal services integrate with.
  • Work through technical designs directly with engineering and make independent calls on access primitives.
  • Partner with trusted access and verification product managers to ensure new programs compose from shared primitives rather than one-off builds.
  • Coordinate across product, safeguards, legal, and go-to-market teams to drive alignment when requirements conflict.

What you need

  • Demonstrate a track record of strong execution while shipping through ambiguity and cross-organization dependencies.
  • Write clearly enough that engineers, executives, and external partners can understand the trade-offs being made.
  • Have owned a developer platform, identity, authorization, or access-management product end to end while remaining accountable for its outcomes.
  • Care deeply about Anthropic's mission and specifically about scaling access to Claude safely.
  • Possess a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience in a relevant field.

Nice to have

  • 8+ years of product management experience
  • Experience with multi-tenant platforms consumed by first-party apps, direct API customers, and third parties
  • Built account, identity, or subscription systems spanning more than one product
  • Taken a product from zero to one where users, product, and requirements were worked out simultaneously

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • Optional equity donation matching
  • Generous vacation and parental leave
  • Flexible working hours
