Role Overview

The Product Manager, Payments will drive the strategy and execution for the core payment offerings at Modern Treasury. Operating at the center of how money moves, this position involves collaborating closely with engineering, compliance, partnerships, and customer-facing units. The professional in this role will bring modern AI tools into product workflows to build scalable financial infrastructure for fast-growing companies.

Key Responsibilities

Design and manage onboarding and compliance experiences that securely onboard customers while reducing time-to-first-payment and satisfying regulatory guidelines.
Prioritize and develop payment rails, spanning domestic schemes like ACH, wire, and RTP alongside international and stablecoin options.
Define liquidity management features to give users visibility and control over balances, funding, and settlements across multiple accounts and financial rails.
Partner with bank and stablecoin partners to expand capabilities and scale payment operations across different geographic regions.
Utilize AI-native workflows to locate operational inefficiencies, scope practical solutions, and drive compounding team leverage.

Requirements

Demonstrated history of building and shipping payments products with familiarity across US and international money movement.
Understanding of end-to-end payment rails and the operational realities required to move money reliably at scale.
Technical literacy capable of reading API documentation, bank specifications, and scheme guidelines.
Strong customer obsession with a dedication to deeply understanding user business models and translating them into clear engineering requirements.
Track record of taking ownership, iterating on dynamic roadmaps, and executing projects alongside compliance, sales, and customer success teams.

Nice to Have

Practical experience or a strong, informed interest in stablecoins and their role in the future of global money movement.
Professional background handling cross-border payments, including international regulatory and operational requirements.
