Role Overview

Speak is seeking a Product Manager to lead the memory and personal intelligence initiatives for its AI-powered language learning platform in San Francisco with remote flexibility. This hands-on position suits an experienced product leader who wants to shape the future of personalized education and user retention systems.

Key Responsibilities

Establish the product direction for memory and personal intelligence across the organization.
Design the product architecture for longitudinal memory, user state models, feedback loops, and content recommendations.
Establish interfaces connecting content systems, voice practice, AI platforms, and user-facing surfaces.
Develop cross-team frameworks, product requirements, and guiding principles to align multiple pods.
Implement instrumentation and quality loops to measure whether personalization successfully enhances learning outcomes.

Requirements

Six or more years of hands-on product experience, including prior Product Lead responsibilities.
Background in AI, machine learning, data, personalization, platform development, or technical product management.
Strong systems thinking capabilities alongside the technical fluency required to collaborate effectively with engineers.
Exceptional user empathy and product taste, ensuring platform decisions elevate user-facing quality.
Outstanding written communication skills with the ability to create impactful documentation.
High agency and leadership capability to drive company-level outcomes without relying on direct reports immediately.

Nice to Have

Background working with assessments, learning science, outcomes products, experimentation, or B2B reporting.
Prior experience designing systems or artifacts successfully adopted by multiple product teams.
