Role Overview

Anthropic seeks a Product Manager, Billing to join the Internal Products and Technologies organization. The professional in this position will collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Growth, Trust & Safety, Support, and Finance to manage how customers acquire, monitor, and handle Claude plans. Responsibilities include defining transparent pricing mechanisms, establishing spend boundaries for automated agents, and ensuring that billing processes convert well while preventing platform abuse.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze customer behaviors across consumer, developer, team, and enterprise tiers to locate friction points affecting conversion, trust, and support volume.
Coordinate with Growth to refine purchase, upgrade, and plan-change funnels while maintaining long-term customer trust.
Collaborate with Trust & Safety to mitigate credit and subscription abuse without impeding legitimate users.
Build agentic billing features where Claude can answer inquiries and execute actions with necessary confirmation safeguards.
Partner with Engineering and Design to maintain uniform purchasing and spend management flows across Claude products.
Formulate product roadmaps, synthesize stakeholder needs, and present prioritization plans to leadership.

Requirements

Seven or more years of product management experience, focusing on self-serve purchase, subscription, or billing systems.
Proven track record of shipping self-serve features, overseeing conversion and retention metrics, and conducting experiments.
Strong product design capabilities to simplify complex concepts like proration, overages, and credits on a single interface.
Experience developing LLM-powered or agentic features with a clear methodology for autonomous versus user-prompted actions.
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a relevant field.

Nice to Have

Shipped customer tools for usage-based or hybrid pricing models such as dashboards and spend limits.
Collaborated with risk teams to stop plan or credit abuse.
Launched products internationally with localized pricing, taxes, and currencies.
Created self-serve support tools that reduced billing-related contact volume.
Scaled operations through rapid revenue growth of 10x or more.
