Audit assembly and test procedures, establish yield targets, confirm test coverage, and approve production phase transitions.
Scale manufacturing volume smoothly across multiple lines or secondary partner sites without drops in throughput or yield.
Investigate field failures and manufacturing gaps, driving corrective actions alongside contract manufacturing partners.
Manage engineering changes by coordinating bill of materials updates, cut-in plans, partner training, and validation.
Integrate manufacturing requirements and validation data into phase reviews to establish clear priority fixes for subsequent builds.

Requirements

Experience carrying a hardware product from early builds through mass production at a contract manufacturer or original design manufacturer.
Demonstrated success in setting up or improving assembly and test procedures while meeting quality and schedule goals.
Regular use of structured manufacturing and root-cause methods such as DFM, FMEA, SPC, and 8D.
Ability to write product-specific test plans and evaluate test coverage adequacy.
Strong communication skills suited for interacting with floor operators and presenting readouts to leadership.
Willingness to travel up to 50 percent of the time to domestic and international partner sites.
A degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Materials Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have

Experience acting as the technical lead for a data center hardware program including servers, storage, switches, racks, or accelerators.
Background in setting up a new manufacturing line, facility, or second source manufacturer.
Familiarity with liquid-cooled or high-power-density rack systems.
A Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
