Role Overview

Granola is hiring a full-time Product Designer to help invent the future of AI-powered work tools based out of their office in London. This opportunity suits an ambitious builder who wants to shape early design DNA and craft intuitive multi-platform experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in early feature definition and collaborate closely with engineers to ship features to the market.
Elevate the fit, finish, and overall craftsmanship of the product for users who spend hours working in it each day.
Spend hours weekly engaging with users to investigate use cases, test new features, and determine future direction.
Prototype, test, and iterate by moving between exploratory modes and refinement modes focusing on typography, motion, and interaction.
Evolve and consistently apply the company brand and design language across the product.

Requirements

Spend at least a few years successfully shipping beautifully designed products to real users in a senior or staff capacity.
Think systematically with experience working on open-ended tools and flexible architectures rather than simple linear flows.
Balance scrappy speed during early feature exploration with intense attention to detail for interactions and motion later on.
Act as a natural prototyper who is eager to test ideas and see how they feel in practice.
Embrace the bleeding edge of AI tools and code to increase personal effectiveness and integrate top ideas into the product.
Judge design success based on what actually gets shipped rather than just static design files.
Maintain comfort working across multiple platforms including Mac, iOS, and web with awareness of established platform patterns.
Work in person from the bright and spacious office in Old Street, London, five days per week.
