Role Overview

The Principal Solutions Architect at DDN in New York is a full-time remote position that combines technical mastery with consultative guidance for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing initiatives. This role bridges advanced data platform technologies with real enterprise needs to drive performance and accelerate time-to-insight.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a trusted technical advisor by analyzing client challenges and proposing customized data and artificial intelligence architecture strategies.

Design scalable storage and compute frameworks that ensure long-term operational efficiency and performance growth.

Collaborate across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing departments to guide customer interactions and shape corporate strategy.

Spearhead technical workshops, product demonstrations, proof-of-concept trials, and formal presentations during the sales cycle.

Manage collaborative partnerships and alliances involving cloud providers, hyperscalers, OEMs, and system integrators.

Provide technical training and enablement sessions for external partners and internal staff members.

Monitor emerging trends in data infrastructure and market competition to effectively advocate for DDN capabilities.

Requirements

Professional background encompassing artificial intelligence infrastructure, data engineering, application development, or technical consulting.

Familiarity with modern artificial intelligence concepts such as large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, inference engines, vector databases, and neural networks.

Experience managing complex client engagements within a pre-sales or solution consulting capacity.

Strong communication abilities to engage technical specialists and executive leadership alike.

Expertise in strategic problem-solving, relationship-building, and public presentations.

Nice to Have

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.

Background working alongside strategic alliances, cloud providers, and partner ecosystems.

Previous experience in customer-facing architecture, artificial intelligence consulting, or technical sales engineering.

Knowledge regarding data center performance optimization and scalability considerations.
