Key Responsibilities

Own applied AI and ML solutions that determine how artificial intelligence integrates into mental healthcare.
Focus on driving search ranking, relevance, and patient-provider matching alongside broader personalization strategies.
Direct foundational machine learning platforms that support scalable AI architectures.
Develop advanced recommendation engines, retrieval models, and fine-tune models such as Learning-to-Rank, embeddings, and LLMs.
Apply natural language processing and generative AI to clinical workflows while maintaining safety standards.
Act as a technical multiplier for engineers across product surfaces and resolve complex engineering challenges.

Requirements

Ten or more years of software engineering background.
Seven or more years of experience designing and scaling distributed systems.
Five or more years of experience building and deploying production-grade machine learning applications.
Five or more years of hands-on experience optimizing search, ranking, relevance, or recommendation engines at scale.
Five or more years of programming experience using Python and at least one backend language.
Two or more years of experience building artificial intelligence products using foundation models and integration patterns.
Strong background working with traditional search infrastructure and modern vector databases.
Three or more years of experience handling MLOps, data pipelines, and evaluation systems.

Nice to Have

Experience architecting secure and compliant artificial intelligence solutions in regulated environments.
Familiarity with human-in-the-loop systems and clinical decision support frameworks.
Experience designing evaluation pipelines focusing on human alignment, factual accuracy, or model interpretability.
Contributions to open-source AI frameworks or applied research in natural language processing, healthcare AI, or generative AI safety.
Background contributing to early-stage team growth from zero to one.
Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams within artificial intelligence or applied research domains.
