About this role

Runlayer is hiring a full-time Marketing Ops Manager to scale lifecycle, campaign creation, attribution, and reporting for a fast growing marketing and revenue organization. This role offers hybrid work in New York City or remote flexibility across US timezones, perfectly suited for an experienced operations professional eager to build foundational systems from scratch.

Role Overview

The Marketing Ops Manager will take charge of reporting and analytics across all marketing systems, lead campaign operations for the demand generation team, and assist in managing the marketing technology stack. This is a true zero-to-one build opportunity where the candidate will not inherit pre-existing infrastructure, but instead enjoy setting up new systems and collaborating closely with key stakeholders. The ideal individual understands how artificial intelligence is transforming operations and already leverages AI to accelerate daily workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Own the administration of the HubSpot CRM and manage the integration of complementary tools such as Default, Lemlist, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Fireflies.
Build and define processes for lead routing and attribution, ensuring proper assignment to campaigns and UTMs before routing to appropriate representatives.
Partner with the Demand Generation team to establish lead lifecycle frameworks, audience segmentation strategies, and email hygiene best practices.
Improve the HubSpot campaign model so that field marketing and demand generation teams can accurately demonstrate return on investment.
Build and maintain dashboards and reporting cadences covering pipeline generation, channel performance, funnel conversion, and marketing-sourced or marketing-influenced revenue.
Identify opportunities to automate and redesign scaling workflows utilizing advanced systems design and artificial intelligence.
Document processes and enable the broader organization to self-serve efficiently.

Requirements

Bring at least 4 years of hands-on systems-building experience in Marketing Operations, GTM Systems, Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or Growth Operations.
Possess practical HubSpot experience serving as both a CRM and Marketing Automation Platform.
Have built a project in Claude Code or a similar tool resulting in a shareable live URL.
Maintain an analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and capability in managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced setting.
Exhibit strong cross-functional communication skills with comfort engaging senior stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, and Finance.
Show direct experience leveraging AI to reimagine go-to-market operations.
Have previous experience owning systems as the primary or solo administrator.

Nice to Have

Background working at a developer-facing or API-first company, or selling directly to technical buyers.
Experience building agentic workflows encompassing multi-step AI systems rather than single prompts.
Previous tenure at an early-stage company with comfort navigating startup pacing.
