Role Overview

StackAdapt is seeking a Manager, IT Audit to join the team and help scale and modernize compliance capabilities while mentoring staff. This remote-first opportunity is open to professionals located anywhere in Canada and suits experienced audit leaders with a background in information security and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

Direct the planning, execution, and reporting for SOC1, SOC2, financial statement audits, and external auditor coordination.
Execute the IPO-readiness strategy by implementing and monitoring IT general controls (ITGCs) and SOX compliance frameworks.
Spot control gaps, evaluate risk exposure, and partner with Engineering, Finance, and Legal teams to build remediation plans.
Design and scale AI-enabled audit workflows to cut manual effort and satisfy public company criteria.
Coach and develop direct reports by establishing clear expectations, fostering accountability, and encouraging continuous growth.

Requirements

Possess at least 5 years of professional background in IT audit, information security, or internal controls.
Bring a minimum of 2 years of direct people management experience.
Show verified expertise in SOX frameworks, ITGCs, and SOC1/SOC2 audits.
Hold an active CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) credential.
Demonstrate the capability to handle multiple audit programs concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
Utilize automation or AI tools successfully to enhance compliance processes and audit workflows.
Communicate technical controls clearly into business insights for senior leaders.

Nice to Have

A CPA designation is viewed as a strong asset for this position.
