Role Overview

As the Growth Operator, SEO & AEO, you will take ownership of how Flodesk appears in responses generated by platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. Reporting directly to the Group Product Manager, Growth, you will operate at the intersection of applied AI, content strategy, and SEO. Your daily work involves running audits, shipping updates through the CMS using AI tools, producing high-value content, and reporting on overall search visibility to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Own the web content inventory across flodesk.com, the blog, and tips sections by pruning underperforming assets and consolidating thin pages.
Evolve how content is structured for AI discoverability through templates, schema, and citation-ready formatting.
Write deep, accurate, and useful content while collaborating with the brand team to maintain a consistent voice and leverage internal personas.
Manage technical SEO hygiene, including structured data, canonical tags, site speed, and crawlability across web properties.
Track traditional SEO metrics alongside AI search visibility, share of voice, sentiment, and citations across multiple LLMs.
Run structured growth experiments, analyze performance deltas against established baselines, and communicate results biweekly.
Expand content distribution into secondary platforms like YouTube and Reddit as the primary on-site foundation matures.

Requirements

3 to 5 years of professional experience in growth, content marketing, or SEO, specifically including AEO, GEO, or AI search optimization.
Proven track record of improving organic traffic, qualified sign-ups, and AI citations with demonstrable past results.
Strong technical SEO foundation covering internal linking, redirects, structured data, crawl health, and Search Console.
Hands-on familiarity using Webflow or comparable CMS platforms to independently ship end-to-end content updates.
Exceptional AI prompting capabilities to produce accurate drafts aligned with established brand guidelines.
Strong data fluency with tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, spreadsheets, and SQL.

Nice to Have

Genuine passion for building digital products for creators and small business entrepreneurs.
Direct experience using competitive tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, or Profound.
Coding or vibe-coding background using tools such as Claude Code.
Prior experience utilizing Git, GitHub, or GitLab for collaborative code workflows.
