Role Overview

The Front End Engineer supports the Brand Web team by sitting directly at the intersection of design and development. The professional in this role builds and maintains web properties across platforms like anthropic.com and claude.com, crafting interactive marketing pages, complex data visualizations, and internal publishing tools. Working closely with cross-functional peers, the engineer translates creative design intent into high-performing, production-ready code while engaging in rapid prototyping.

Key Responsibilities

Own the implementation of design system components and page templates for web properties, focusing heavily on interactive experiences, data visualizations, and tools.
Operate within a headless CMS architecture to maintain and improve content modeling, structured data workflows, and publishing operations.
Partner directly with designers to bridge the gap between static design concepts and living, interactive digital environments.
Build internal tools that empower content authors, managers, and publishing teams to operate efficiently at scale.
Participate in site architecture projects and migrations under the guidance of senior team members.
Build rapid prototypes and iterate quickly from initial concepts to working proofs-of-concept.
Improve team workflows, contribute to comprehensive documentation, and champion knowledge sharing.

Requirements

Solid professional experience utilizing modern frontend frameworks, specifically Next.js or comparable React-based tooling.
Strong command of CSS to implement complex layouts, animations, and interactive features with precision.
Hands-on background working with headless CMS platforms, content modeling, and structured data workflows.
Experience building internal tools or streamlining day-to-day team workflows.
Ability to rapidly prototype, iterate, and transform rough ideas into working proofs-of-concept.
Clear communication skills with a focus on delivering technically sound and visually refined results.
Track record of contributing to production-level web properties at a mid-level scope, with the drive to handle larger projects.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience in a relevant field.
