Odewithanthropic is hiring a Forward Deployed Product Manager for Financial Services based in San Francisco, California. This role suits an experienced product leader with a financial services background who wants to own client engagements and build a new product vertical.

Role Overview

Odewithanthropic is seeking its first Forward Deployed Product Manager dedicated exclusively to Financial Services. The person in this role will own client engagements from end to end, bridge the gap between technical teams and senior executives, and turn successful patterns into a dedicated product vertical. The position requires working four days in-person with Fridays remote, based out of the San Francisco office, along with travel to client sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Own client relationships directly with financial services business leaders, risk teams, compliance personnel, and IT departments.
Translate ambiguous goals into clear problem statements, user workflows, and success metrics for areas like underwriting, KYC/AML, and investment research.
Write detailed specifications for engineers, design evaluation criteria for artificial intelligence systems, and establish human review processes.
Navigate model risk management, data governance, security reviews, and vendor risk processes to ship solutions into production.
Partner with client teams on rollout, training, change management, and measurable impact.
Transform common patterns from client engagements into repeatable playbooks, solution patterns, evaluations, and reference architectures.
Partner with leadership and go-to-market teams on discovery conversations, scoping, and proposals.
Coach other team members on financial services workflows, regulations, and buyer dynamics while helping build out the hiring profile for future product managers.

Requirements

Deep financial services experience built through banks, lenders, asset managers, wealth managers, fintechs, or corporate finance organizations.
Typically six to eight or more years of experience across product management, consulting, implementation, or operations, including shipping multiple products with engineers and designers.
High-stakes client leadership experience managing pressure, disagreements, and senior stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to ship products through model risk, compliance, security, and procurement frameworks.
Technical fluency to understand large language model systems, reason about architecture tradeoffs, and define evaluation acceptance criteria.
Structured thinking, clear communication skills, a builder mindset, and ownership comfort in ambiguous environments.

Nice to Have

A foundation in finance, banking, credit, investment research, accounting, or FP&A.
Experience shipping artificial intelligence or automation into document-heavy workflows like underwriting or KYC/AML.
Forward-deployed, solutions, or consulting experience with named-account accountability.
An existing network across financial services buyers and practitioners.
Experience mentoring or managing product managers or establishing a new practice.
