Role Overview

Notion is hiring an Enterprise Outcomes Architect to work on-site in Tokyo, Japan. In this capacity, the professional serves as a build-beside partner, helping named enterprise accounts turn their AI ambitions into working systems. The focus centers on managing workflow adoption, value delivery, and renewal outcomes—especially for accounts that are flat, at-risk, or require a clearer path to measurable impact. By partnering closely with Solutions Consultants, this role shapes account strategies, qualifies expansion opportunities, and contributes directly to predictable net retention revenue.

Key Responsibilities

Drive workflow adoption and value realization for a designated book of named enterprise accounts.
Contribute directly to net retention revenue through predictable renewals, expansion pipeline creation, and proactive product adoption.
Partner with Solutions Consultants on shared account strategies, managing the commercial opportunity for flat and at-risk renewals.
Define and maintain mutual success plans that guide clients through their AI transformations while demonstrating return on investment to executive stakeholders via periodic business reviews.
Facilitate use-case consultations to guide continuous solutions design and identify new workflow opportunities.
Identify complex or technical implementation needs and engage the Services team to ensure successful delivery.
Help build and deliver Outcomes Architect programs across the existing customer install base.

Requirements

Bring at least 7 years of professional experience driving customer adoption, value realization, renewals, or expansion in a B2B software environment.
Possess strong customer-facing discovery instincts to understand business problems, map workflows, and translate goals into practical implementation plans.
Demonstrate technical fluency and a trusted advisor presence capable of co-designing, configuring, and troubleshooting Notion workspaces and workflows.
Exhibit commercial awareness to partner with account owners on renewal risk, expansion potential, and overall account strategy.
Know how to design and build workflows that drive usage-based consumption and connect adoption patterns to measurable commercial outcomes.
Offer strong program and stakeholder management skills to oversee success plans, timelines, risks, and commitments across a book of accounts.
Operate with agency, urgency, customer empathy, and a passion for building with modern AI tools.
Communicate with native-level fluency in Japanese and business-level proficiency in English.

Nice to Have

Prior experience in customer success, solutions consulting, implementation, technical account management, or post-sales strategy for productivity, collaboration, or workflow software.
Background working with flat, at-risk, or complex renewal accounts to restore a clear value path.
Experience in a shared account ownership model alongside sales, solutions, support, or implementation teams.
Experience designing repeatable customer programs, playbooks, or interventions that scale retention, expansion, and adoption.
