Anthropic is hiring an Enterprise Account Executive in Tokyo to drive the adoption of safe, frontier artificial intelligence technology across Japan's retail, consumer packaged goods (CPG), and general trading sectors. This professional will own the complete sales cycle from initial prospecting to deal closure, helping senior leadership optimize operations and personalize customer experiences. This opportunity suits an experienced sales professional with a background in the Japanese market who is passionate about trustworthy and beneficial AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

Own and exceed revenue goals by securing new major accounts and expanding existing partnerships with domestic retailers, CPG manufacturers, and trading companies.
Create and execute territory plans that target supermarket groups, convenience chains, specialty stores, food and beverage makers, and sogo shosha.
Lead consultative sales discussions with chief information officers, chief digital officers, chief marketing officers, and heads of supply chain and merchandising.
Position artificial intelligence as a primary driver for demand forecasting, inventory optimization, personalization, and supply chain operations.
Coordinate internal engineering, product, applied AI, and partnership teams to deliver integrated solutions adhering to Japan's APPI data privacy standards.

Requirements

Enterprise sales experience in Japan involving retail, CPG, or trading accounts, promoting emerging technologies through a consultative approach.
Track record of handling complex sales cycles and securing strategic agreements with large-scale retailers and consumer goods manufacturers.
Ability to navigate intricate stakeholder networks and build consensus across multiple budget authorities and approval layers.
Demonstrated success in exceeding revenue targets across seasonal retail cycles and consensus-driven procurement processes.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience.
Proficiency in both Japanese and English communication.
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
