About this role

Anthropic is seeking an Enterprise Account Executive for Digital Native Business to drive the adoption of frontier AI technology in Tokyo. This role suits a driven sales professional ready to build a new territory from the ground up and engage Japan's fastest-moving technology companies.

Role Overview

In this position, you will spearhead new business acquisition across Japan's digital native sector, including internet services, gaming, e-commerce, SaaS, fintech, and media companies. Operating in a greenfield territory, you will own the complete sales cycle from initial outbound prospecting to final close. You will collaborate directly with founders, CTOs, CPOs, VPs of Engineering, and Heads of AI to integrate Claude into their products and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Own and exceed revenue targets by winning net-new logos across Japan's high-growth digital native ecosystem.
Build a brand-new territory from scratch by establishing target account lists and generating pipeline via self-sourced outbound prospecting.
Conduct consultative sales cycles to position Claude as the foundational technology for AI-powered products and competitive advantage.
Land new accounts swiftly and prepare them for long-term expansion by engaging technical buyers and developer teams.
Coordinate internal teams, including Product, Engineering, Applied AI, and Partnerships, to navigate technical evaluations and accelerate customer time to production.

Requirements

Minimum of 8 years of sales experience in Japan with a proven hunter track record of winning net-new logos and generating outbound pipeline.
Experience selling to digital native, internet, or high-tech companies with comfort engaging technical decision-makers like engineering and product leaders.
Demonstrated ability to open greenfield territories or segments with minimal initial brand presence and drive revenue from zero.
Strong commercial understanding of usage-based and consumption models tied to revenue growth.
Exceptional communication skills in both Japanese and English.
Relevant educational background with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Passion for or prior experience with advanced AI systems and a strong interest in responsible frontier AI development.
