Role Overview

In this position, the manager will lead the Mobile AI engineering team to deliver impactful AI features on mobile devices for users on the go. The role is based in New York City, with in-office collaboration required on Anchor Days (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) to foster teamwork and direct connection. Responsibilities center on guiding the product roadmap, ensuring production reliability, and building out technical foundations that span mobile, web, and server ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

Shape and evolve the roadmap for core mobile AI surfaces, encompassing chat, capture, agent workflows, workspace Q&A, and lightweight creation flows.
Guide mobile AI products from initial exploration to official release, utilizing prototypes, user feedback, and performance metrics.
Enhance mobile AI production quality by addressing instrumentation gaps, reliability risks, and performance bottlenecks proactively.
Establish strong technical foundations that allow for rapid iteration across mobile, web, and server boundaries.

Requirements

Bring at least two years of engineering management experience, successfully helping teams ship high-quality products at scale.
Provide hands-on technical leadership close enough to the code to guide architecture, performance, reliability, and release quality.
Possess strong AI product curiosity with hands-on experience using AI tools and understanding how they shape product development.
Demonstrate the ability to execute through ambiguity by turning open-ended product bets into structured strategy, staffing, and delivery plans.
Exhibit cross-functional leadership skills to define problems and deliver polished outcomes alongside other departments.
Offer strong people leadership capabilities focused on recruiting, coaching, growing engineers, and fostering an inclusive team culture.

Nice to Have

Previous experience leading teams that built AI product experiences involving streaming UX, tool use, voice or multimodal input, evaluation loops, or reliability guardrails.
Experience managing teams through zero-to-one product development or fast iteration cycles on brand-new product surfaces.
Familiarity with mobile platform challenges such as offline resilience, realtime collaboration, rich-text editing, app performance, and release quality at scale.
Background in delivering end-to-end product experiences spanning mobile, web, and server boundaries.
