Enforcement Operations Lead, Cloud Partners
About this role
Professionals who thrive in ambiguous environments and enjoy building scalable systems from the ground up will find a natural fit within the Safeguards team at Anthropic. This group focuses on enforcing safety policies and protecting users across multiple cloud platforms, ensuring that AI systems remain reliable and beneficial as usage scales through partners like Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Foundry.
As the Enforcement Operations Lead for Multi-Cloud, the chosen candidate takes ownership of how the organization detects, reviews, and acts on misuse on partner surfaces where external entities control the customer relationship and data path. Daily responsibilities include developing operational models, establishing service level agreements, building standard operating procedures, and coordinating cross-functional efforts across product, policy, legal, and engineering teams.
What you will do
- Manage the complete enforcement lifecycle on partner surfaces, covering detection, review, action, customer communication, and appeals.
- Define enforcement workflows for each partner operating model to ensure actions are properly requested, executed, and confirmed.
- Set and evaluate service level agreements for review times, escalation procedures, and operational actions on an ongoing basis.
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures and escalation guides to guarantee consistency across multiple cloud environments.
- Establish red-teaming and quality assurance processes while tracking operational metrics for leadership and regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate paired investigations with partner threat intelligence teams for case referrals, indicator sharing, and high-severity incident responses.
What you need
- Extensive professional background in trust and safety operations, threat intelligence, enforcement, or a related domain.
- Demonstrated experience managing external partner or vendor relationships where direct control over external systems was absent.
- Proven ability to bridge policy, legal, engineering, and operations to translate requirements into practical workflows.
- Track record of building enforcement programs from scratch, including service level agreements and quality measurement frameworks.
- Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on maintaining thorough documentation in fast-paced operational settings.
- Clear communication abilities suited for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including partner executives.
Nice to have
- Direct trust and safety, abuse, or security operations experience at AWS, GCP, Azure, or marketplace-driven companies
- Experience designing cross-company incident response or escalation processes
- Familiarity with data access controls, privacy-constrained review environments, or audit requirements
- Background in law enforcement referrals, regulatory reporting, compliance programs, or AI safety
- Comfort utilizing data and metrics to guide operational decisions and report trends
