HugeInc is looking for a Director of Technology to join their global technology team in a remote capacity within Colombia. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced technical strategist who excels at partnering with clients and cross-functional teams to design transformative digital solutions.

Role Overview

As the Director of Technology, you will spearhead technology strategy and execution while aligning technical capabilities with overarching business objectives. This position involves collaborating closely with clients to understand complex challenges and deliver impactful recommendations. You will guide engineering practices, champion emerging innovations like generative AI, and ensure high standards of project delivery following Lean and Agile principles.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with clients to assess technology needs, recommend effective solutions, and build lasting relationships.
Develop and implement comprehensive technology strategies that align with business goals.
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects to ensure completion on time, within scope, and within budget.
Maintain rigorous quality standards across development through thorough code reviews, performance optimization, and testing.
Identify and mitigate technical risks while ensuring strict adherence to security and compliance standards.
Support vendor partnerships and drive organic business growth alongside account leadership.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the engineering community.

Requirements

Strong leadership background with experience building, scaling, and mentoring engineering teams of 10 or more developers.
Proven track record of managing complex projects featuring multiple workstreams while maintaining strict quality and timeline control.
Ability to bridge technical excellence with business priorities by translating business needs into technical specifications.
Experience managing onshore, offshore, or globally distributed teams.
Capacity to navigate high levels of ambiguity and evolve robust technology solutions.
Familiarity with modern architectural patterns such as Jamstack and MACH, alongside enterprise platforms like CMS, DAM, and CDN systems.
Technical expertise in implementing and scaling multidisciplinary SDLCs within digital organizations.
Experience leveraging modern AI coding tools, autonomous multi-agent systems, microservices architecture, and cloud infrastructure including AWS, GCP, and Vercel.
Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, authentication systems like Auth0, and e-commerce security or payment flows.
Candidates holding an engineering degree or related profession in Colombia must present their professional license per local regulations.

Nice to Have

Mobile commerce and native payments experience.
Experience working specifically with globally distributed teams.
