About this role
Working directly with departments across the enterprise, the Director of AI Enablement analyzes current workflows to determine where artificial intelligence and automation can materially improve daily operations. This leadership role owns the company-wide AI strategy, partnering closely with Engineering, Enterprise Technology, and Data teams to translate business problems into practical prototypes and scalable solutions. Reporting to the Head of the Executive Office, the person in this position will lead a lean team and establish repeatable playbooks for AI adoption.
The mandate focuses on building organizational capability, defining operating models, and guiding initiatives from discovery through implementation. Ideal candidates bring a strong technical foundation combined with management experience, excellent executive communication skills, and a proven ability to redesign complex workflows.
What you will do
- Own the enterprise-wide AI Enablement strategy, roadmap, priorities, and operating model across Crunchyroll.
- Collaborate directly with internal teams to evaluate current workflows and redesign them using AI, agents, and automation.
- Translate business challenges into concrete AI use cases that progress from discovery to prototype and production.
- Partner with technical groups such as Engineering and Data to scale secure applications.
- Manage the company-wide AI learning agenda and build communities of practice to foster practical fluency.
- Identify and oversee external vendors and experts to accelerate capability-building and solution delivery.
- Establish governance, metrics, and milestones for adoption while leading a lean, high-performing team.
What you need
- Twelve or more years of professional experience, starting in a technical field like software development or computer science before transitioning into strategy, consulting, or AI enablement.
- Demonstrated background leading enterprise AI transformations or enablement initiatives across multiple functional areas.
- Track record of redesigning complex manual workflows using automation, AI, and agents with measurable business outcomes.
- Technical fluency spanning GenAI, APIs, enterprise technology, and data systems without needing to personally build the solutions.
- Experience defining AI use cases that technical teams can successfully scale.
- Strong executive communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience managing small, high-performing teams.
