The Deployed Infrastructure Engineer at Sierra in London is a full-time engineering role focused on managing the complete lifecycle of customer deployments and shaping how the enterprise AI platform operates. Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of deployment architecture conversations and execution, designing effective strategies covering VPC configuration, permissioning, networking, and infrastructure provisioning.
Oversee the full infrastructure lifecycle for critical enterprise clients, handling initial deployment, ongoing upgrades, scaling, and incident support.
Build and maintain reliable deployment runbooks, upgrade procedures, and automation tooling to streamline operations.
Partner directly with engineering teams to ensure the platform remains deployable across diverse technical requirements.
Collaborate with customer platform engineering, security, and DevOps teams to navigate specific infrastructure constraints and compliance regulations.
Work alongside Sales and Customer Success to scope infrastructure needs during pre-sales and onboarding phases.

Requirements

Bring four or more years of professional background in infrastructure, DevOps, platform engineering, or solutions architecture, with a strong focus on customer-facing deployment work.
Demonstrate deep expertise using AWS services, Terraform, container orchestration, and cloud networking elements such as VPCs, IAM, DNS, and load balancing.
Possess a proven track record of managing deployments within customer-owned cloud environments, successfully navigating security reviews, compliance, and change management.
Exhibit the ability to navigate ambiguity when dealing with enterprise stakeholders ranging from platform engineers to CISOs.
Display strong operational instincts with a consistent focus on upgrades, rollbacks, monitoring, and failure modes from the beginning of a project.
Hold a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or demonstrate equivalent professional experience.

Nice to Have

Hands-on production experience working with Go services, GraphQL APIs, or large language model infrastructure.
Previous background at an early-stage company building deployment operations, playbooks, and tooling.
Familiarity with distributed system observability and incident management tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
Experience designing CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, or infrastructure self-service tools for enterprise clients.
