Role Overview

The Data Center Operations Supervisor directs the health and performance of server and network infrastructure across data facilities and global points of presence. The position requires hands-on technical leadership, process optimization, and cross-functional coordination to improve operational uptime and reduce incident resolution times.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of data center technicians to promote ongoing operational improvements.
Supervise the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network and server hardware.
Manage facility operations such as hardware decommissioning, power supply cabling, and fiber labeling.
Create and enforce safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
Coordinate with provisioning and engineering teams for hardware intake and repair.
Track inventory and assets using internal applications for accurate reporting.
Handle operational tickets through Jira to guarantee timely documentation and resolution.
Partner with cross-functional groups to design network layouts and solutions.
Direct projects aimed at reducing downtime and boosting operational efficiency.
Deliver on-call support and address critical events during varying shifts.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
Five or more years of experience handling server, compute, storage, and network hardware.
Five or more years of experience repairing and troubleshooting networking infrastructure and servers.
Demonstrated leadership background in a technical operations or data center setting.
Subject to pre-employment and annual post-employment background checks.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted and work at elevated heights up to 50 feet with safety gear.
Comfort working in environments with noise exposure.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and flexible schedules based on site needs.

Nice to Have

Strong Linux abilities including shell file manipulation, directory navigation, package installation, and user permission configuration.
Scripting experience using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
Background in leading data center infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of structured copper and fiber cabling, alongside data center power and cooling concepts.
Excellent time management, prioritization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
