Incode Technologies is seeking a Data Analytics Team Lead based in Serbia to head the analytics function within the Document Intelligence division. This hands-on leadership role suits an experienced, entrepreneurial professional who enjoys managing a high-performing team while actively building data pipelines and metrics.

Role Overview

Operating within the Document Intelligence team, this position focuses on parsing global identity documents such as passports and driver's licenses for major enterprises. The selected candidate will act as a player-coach, balancing formal management duties like mentorship and hiring with daily technical execution, including writing queries and building pipelines. The goal is to make product quality measurable and drive data-backed decisions across machine learning and engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and develop a small analytics team through 1:1s, performance reviews, and roadmap ownership.
Write Python and SQL pipelines for data processing, collection, and labeling while executing hands-on analysis.
Build out end-to-end metric trees to measure product quality across the document-processing pipeline.
Create clear reporting dashboards to translate raw data signals into actionable insights for leadership and product teams.
Lead machine learning quality evaluation, model assessment, and data preparation in cooperation with the machine learning group.
Design, execute, and evaluate statistical A/B tests on mobile and server sides.
Monitor data and labeling accuracy while establishing quality control mechanisms.
Collaborate with backend and data teams by specifying missing events and justifying feature prioritization.

Requirements

Proven team leadership experience combined with a willingness to stay hands-on with technical execution.
Advanced proficiency in Python with a focus on writing clean, maintainable code.
Strong SQL skills and experience utilizing columnar or analytical databases.
Deep understanding of statistics, experimental design, and ability to interpret test results correctly.
Familiarity with modern data tooling such as workflow orchestration, data transformation, cloud storage, and experiment tracking.
Clear communication skills to bridge gaps between technical execution and business justifications.
High degree of autonomy, pragmatism, and ownership in a rapidly scaling environment.

Nice to Have

Prior experience working on machine learning-centered products, evaluating model quality, and collaborating with ML professionals.
Familiarity with data labeling workflows and quality assurance methods.
Domain knowledge related to optical character recognition, identity documents, or computer vision pipelines.
