About this role

Maintaining uninterrupted operational uptime for large-scale AI training campuses requires continuous management of complex cooling plants, electrical distribution grids, and physical infrastructure. This role exists to provide hands-on technical support for the integration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of critical control systems across campus facilities. Operating within the Supercomputer Physical Infrastructure team, the technician will build and wire industrial control panels, support PLC and SCADA environments, and execute structured repairs to ensure infrastructure stability.

Candidates who succeed here possess a strong background in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or mechatronics, paired with a flat, fast-paced operational culture. Individuals must demonstrate rigorous attention to safety protocols, clear communication habits, and a hands-on work ethic that directly contributes to high-availability engineering environments.

What you will do

  • Support the integration and commissioning of vendor and OEM equipment into campus BMS, EPMS, and SCADA systems.
  • Perform safe electrical work within LOTO and arc-flash requirements while verifying zero energy and validating safety devices.
  • Wire, build, and maintain industrial control panels and field devices according to NFPA 79 and UL 508A standards.
  • Diagnose and navigate PLCs, HMIs, alarms, and logic behavior to clear approved alarms and perform basic recovery.
  • Set up and validate sensors, instrumentation, and industrial networks serving chillers, CDUs, pumps, and power distribution.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, work tickets, and records of repairs and system maintenance.

What you need

  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • Bring at least two years of hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems in a manufacturing, industrial, or critical-facility environment.
  • Alternatively, possess an associate's degree in a technical field such as controls technology or mechatronics.
  • Demonstrate the ability to read, interpret, and redline electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
  • Be willing to work extended hours, weekends, and travel to other locations as needed.
  • Be able to work onsite in the Memphis, TN and Southaven, MS area while lifting up to 25 lbs unassisted.

Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NFPA 79, and UL 508A standards
  • PLC and HMI experience with Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT, or Allen-Bradley RSLogix / Studio 5000
  • Experience with SCADA systems, particularly Ignition
  • Prior background in data centers, power generation, semiconductor, or high-reliability industrial environments
