About this role
Guiding large UK businesses toward the frontier of artificial intelligence, this position involves acting as a trusted technical advisor and platform specialist for enterprise customers. The team focuses on helping organizations deploy Claude into their operations, products, and workflows while navigating complex, multi-stakeholder procurement cycles.
Daily responsibilities include partnering with account executives and applied AI architects to manage technical evaluations, proofs of value, and security reviews. Practitioners bridge the gap between technical execution and board-level outcomes by presenting business value cases to CIOs and CTOs, setting up systems integration partners for delivery, and feeding enterprise usage patterns back into internal engineering and product groups.
What you will do
- Partner with Enterprise Account Executives and Applied AI Architects to take UK enterprise customers from first conversation through technical evaluation, proof of value, and procurement to the final decision to build on Claude.
- Lead the technical side of each opportunity and remain the customer's ongoing technical advisor throughout deployment.
- Set customers and their systems integration partners up to deliver by agreeing on target architecture, defining quality standards, and advising the delivery team during the build.
- Help customer engineering teams understand how to build on Claude by covering architecture, agent design, and evaluation.
- Build and present business value cases for Claude to C-level and senior executives, linking technical capabilities to measurable outcomes such as cost, revenue, risk, and time to market.
- Guide customers through long, multi-stakeholder procurement processes, including security and architecture reviews while navigating compliance, data residency, and governance requirements like UK GDPR.
- Feed patterns from enterprise engagements back to Product, Engineering, and the wider Applied AI team, and travel to customer sites across the UK.
What you need
- Bring six or more years of experience as a Software Engineer, Solutions Architect, Forward Deployed Engineer, or technical founder.
- Demonstrate pre-sales or technical advisory experience selling into large enterprises, including owning the technical win through evaluations, proofs of concept, and due diligence with security, legal, and procurement.
- Show experience with value-based selling and presenting business cases to C-level and VP-level stakeholders.
- Possess production experience with LLM-powered applications, covering prompting, context engineering, agent architectures, evaluation frameworks, and deployment at scale.
- Display familiarity with enterprise security, compliance, and architecture requirements, ideally within regulated sectors.
- Maintain the ability to explain complex artificial intelligence concepts clearly to both technical and executive audiences.
