Key Responsibilities

Act as a primary technical advisor for fast-growing companies, assisting them with architecture, agent design, and system evaluation.
Engage in hands-on coding tasks such as pair programming, conducting architecture reviews, and contributing code directly to customer projects.
Partner with Applied AI Architects and Account Executives to guide customers through technical evaluations and proofs of value.
Build custom evaluation frameworks, prototypes, and reference architectures alongside internal Product and Engineering teams.
Synthesize learnings from customer engagements to create developer-focused technical documentation, tutorials, sample code, and product feedback.
Represent Anthropic at hackathons, webinars, technical office hours, and developer community events.
Travel to customer sites for workshops, implementation support, and relationship management.

Requirements

Bring at least 4 years of professional background working as a Software Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or technical founder.
Possess direct experience in a customer-facing or pre-sales technical function, helping scope, design, and deliver technical solutions.
Demonstrate production-level experience in building LLM-powered applications, covering prompting, context engineering, agent architectures, and evaluation frameworks.
Show strong programming capability with solid proficiency in Python for production applications.
Hold a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience in a relevant field.
Be prepared to work under a location-based hybrid policy, requiring office presence at least 25% of the time.
