As part of the China Campus Recruitment initiative for 2027, the incoming applied AI engineer will design, build, test, and deploy advanced artificial intelligence solutions directly inside client environments. Team members collaborate closely with internal divisions like activation, creativity, and strategy, working on site alongside client teams to turn raw requirements into functional systems ranging from machine learning models to large language model agents and retrieval workflows.
Ideal candidates bring a solid foundation in statistics, software engineering, and machine learning, paired with a desire to build reusable technical assets and maintain high engineering standards. What you will do
- Deliver end-to-end data and artificial intelligence projects while securing reliable execution and tangible business value.
- Collaborate directly with consulting counterparts and cross-functional divisions to understand client needs and build lasting relationships.
- Design, build, test, deploy, and evaluate machine learning models, large language model agents, retrieval systems, and workflow automation.
- Take solutions into production within client infrastructure while adhering to security, compliance, and version control standards.
- Research new technical approaches, share best practices, and turn field experience into reusable accelerators and templates.
- Document systems and handle handovers so client teams can independently operate and extend the deployed technology.
What you need
- Hold a Master's degree in machine learning, mathematics, computer science, or a related field.
- Bring at least one year of hands-on experience developing data-driven solutions in a corporate or consulting environment.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of data processing, data modeling, algorithms, and data architecture.
- Possess a solid grounding in statistics and machine learning, including model training, evaluation, and experiment design.
- Show hands-on experience building solutions using large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, tool calling, and agentic workflows.
- Apply solid software engineering practices such as version control, code review, testing, and documentation.
- Communicate technical trade-offs clearly to both business and technical stakeholders.
