About this role
Engaging directly with partners in Tokyo, this role centers on cultivating technical relationships with global and regional system integrators as well as cloud providers like AWS and GCP. The position exists to accelerate indirect revenue, enable partner AI practices, and execute long-term go-to-market strategies by serving as a pre-sales technical thought partner. Team members collaborate closely with the go-to-market partnerships group, embedding with external technical teams to support troubleshooting, develop joint generative AI solutions, and unblock strategic customer deals.
Candidates joining the Applied AI team will also represent the company at industry conferences, lead developer hackathons, and gather vital product feedback to inform future platform roadmaps. A strong background in technical customer-facing roles, combined with fluency in both Japanese and English, is necessary to bridge communication between enterprise executives and engineering teams. What you will do
- Serve as a technical thought partner to the go-to-market partnerships team by providing expertise on the partner landscape and driving strategic programs.
- Embed with system integrator and cloud partner technical teams to enable AI practices, support troubleshooting, and evangelize the platform.
- Collaborate with partners to identify high-value industry-specific generative AI applications and codify reference architectures.
- Intervene directly to unblock strategic customer deals where partners act as the primary delivery vehicle.
- Represent the company at partner events, workshops, summits, and technical enablement sessions.
- Gather and validate product feedback from partner use cases to share with internal teams and inform the product roadmap.
What you need
- Bring at least five years of experience in technical customer-facing or partner-facing roles such as solutions architect or sales engineer.
- Demonstrate a track record of successfully partnering with system integrators or cloud providers to solve complex technical challenges.
- Possess exceptional relationship-building and communication skills suitable for engaging with C-suite executives and engineering teams.
- Show experience designing scalable cloud architectures and integrating enterprise systems.
- Demonstrate familiarity with common large language model frameworks and tools or a background in machine learning and data science.
- Be fully fluent in both Japanese and English.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a relevant field.
