About this role
Anthropic builds reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems designed to be safe and beneficial for users and society. The Applied AI team works closely with enterprise clients in India and the Asia-Pacific region to integrate Claude into existing technical stacks. As an Applied AI Architect, you will act as a pre-sales technical advisor guiding large organizations from initial technical discovery through successful deployment.
Your day-to-day work involves partnering with account executives, designing scalable cloud architectures, building evaluation frameworks, and delivering technical content to audiences ranging from developers to C-suite executives. You will bridge the gap between business objectives and technical implementations while collaborating across global time zones. Successful candidates combine deep technical fluency in Python and machine learning with strong interpersonal communication skills.
What you will do
- Partner with account executives to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
- Serve as the primary technical advisor to enterprise customers throughout their Claude adoption journey.
- Support customers building with both the Claude API and Claude for Work.
- Create and deliver tailored technical content for engineering teams and executives.
- Guide technical architecture decisions and help customers integrate Claude into existing systems.
- Help customers develop evaluation frameworks to measure Claude's performance for specific use cases.
- Travel occasionally within India and the APAC region for workshops and customer site visits.
What you need
- Bring 10+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles like Solutions Architect or Sales Engineer.
- Demonstrate experience working with enterprise customers in India or the APAC region.
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to C-suite executives and engineering teams.
- Design scalable cloud architectures and integrate with enterprise systems.
- Demonstrate comfort using Python and familiarity with common LLM frameworks and tools.
- Collaborate across cultures and time zones as part of a global team.
