About this role

Organizations struggle to integrate frontier AI safely into complex security programs without clear technical guidance and business alignment. Anthropic solves this challenge by embedding cybersecurity specialists within enterprise account teams to help the world's largest organizations utilize Claude for software security, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management.

As an Applied AI Architect, you will work directly with enterprise security leaders, CISOs, and engineers across regulated sectors like finance, healthcare, and semiconductors. You will guide these organizations from early technical discovery and initial pilots to production security workloads, designing reference implementations and hands-on workshops tailored to their specific environments.

This role exists to bridge the gap between advanced artificial intelligence capabilities and practical enterprise security operations. Success in this position requires a blend of deep technical cybersecurity expertise, customer-facing acumen, and the ability to articulate complex security and risk topics to both technical practitioners and executive leadership.

What you will do

  • Partner with account executives and account architects to evaluate customer security programs and build technical plans and business cases for Claude.
  • Serve as the primary security-domain technical advisor to large enterprise customers throughout the entire evaluation and deployment lifecycle.
  • Transition customers from one-time code scanning to sustained security workloads such as application security and automated penetration testing.
  • Build and maintain reference implementations, harnesses, and evaluation approaches that customers can adapt to their specific environments.
  • Design and lead workshops where customer security teams interact directly with Claude on their own codebases and workflows.
  • Collaborate with security industry partners on shared accounts to deliver cohesive Claude-powered security outcomes.
  • Deliver technical deep dives for security engineers alongside value- and risk-focused conversations for CISOs and executives.

What you need

  • Have at least 5 years of experience in security roles with hands-on depth in application security, offensive security, detection and response, or threat intelligence.
  • Bring experience in technical customer-facing roles such as solutions architect, sales engineer, security consultant, or technical account manager.
  • Demonstrate experience working with large enterprise customers and navigating complex buying cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Possess the ability to explain the value and risk of security work to CISOs and translate between security teams, engineering, and the business.
  • Demonstrate comfort with Python, CI/CD, and cloud environments with direct experience integrating tooling into engineering workflows.
  • Show familiarity with common LLM frameworks and tools alongside practical experience using LLMs for security tasks like code review and vulnerability discovery.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience building or operating security automation at scale such as scanning pipelines or detection engineering.
  • Experience serving regulated industries, strategic accounts, or digital-native and public sector organizations.
  • Experience working with or at a security ISV, systems integrator, or managed security provider.
  • Contributions to open-source security tooling, published research, or CVEs to your name.
