About this role
Role Overview
The Anthropic Fellows Program, The Anthropic Institute (Economics & Policy) is a 4-month full-time research opportunity designed to foster AI research and engineering talent. This fellowship is ideal for individuals looking to gain direct mentorship and work on pressing economic and policy questions related to artificial intelligence. Fellows develop new methodological approaches for studying AI's impact on labor markets, the future of work, and society. Additional tasks involve analyzing the offense-defense balance for AI-enabled cyber and bio capabilities as models scale, measuring model performance increases with custom harnesses, and identifying market-driven mechanisms to improve societal resilience against AI threats. Participants also work to identify metrics relating to AI research and development that can serve as early warning signals for recursive self-improvement.
Requirements
Candidates must be fluent in the Python programming language and available to work full-time on the program for the 4-month duration. Applicants must have legal work authorization in the US, UK, or Canada and be physically located in that country during the program, as visa sponsorship is not available for this fellowship.
