Role Overview

As an Analytics Engineer at Wargaming in Nicosia, the specialist will oversee dbt Cloud operations and maintain core analytics pipelines. Responsibilities include managing multiple independent dbt projects, ensuring the reliability of crucial finance models, and helping integrate AI-assisted workflows into everyday data operations. The professional in this role reports directly to the Director of Mobile and New Games.

Key Responsibilities

Administer dbt Cloud across the organisation by handling project configurations, environments, permissions, and CI/CD pipelines.
Build and maintain critical production dbt models, focusing heavily on accurate finance and revenue data.
Guide and mentor other analysts on optimal SQL modeling, testing practices, and code reviews.
Optimize Snowflake performance and manage data platform costs while improving overall monitoring and reliability.
Develop automation and tooling utilizing Python, AWS Lambda, and S3 storage.
Research and implement modern AI tooling and agentic workflows to improve team efficiency.

Requirements

At least four years of hands-on professional background in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Extensive experience with dbt and dbt Cloud administration, including jobs, project setups, and continuous integration.
Advanced SQL capabilities combined with strong data modeling proficiencies.
Demonstrated production use of Snowflake, covering cost management and performance tuning.
Practical knowledge of Python applied to data tooling and automation.
Familiarity with AWS data platform components such as S3 and Lambda.
Experience managing vital data pipelines, resolving incidents, and communicating with business stakeholders.
Previous mentoring or analyst support background with fluent English communication skills.

Nice to Have

Practical background in building LLM-based agents, AI skills, and automated multi-agent engineering workflows.
Knowledge of multi-project dbt patterns like dbt Mesh or cross-project references.
Exposure to financial reconciliation and reporting-grade data accuracy.
Previous sector exposure within gaming, mobile applications, or consumer tech analytics.
Familiarity with product telemetry, marketing data, or attribution tools like AppsFlyer.
Possession of an official dbt certification.
