Role Overview
The Analytics Engineer position at Wargaming in Prague offers a chance to manage dbt Cloud administration and maintain critical analytics workflows. Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of dbt Cloud across the entire organisation, managing project setups, environment controls, access permissions, CI/CD procedures, version updates, and budget oversight.
Establish and oversee multiple independent dbt projects while setting unified standards and conventions for cross-team alignment.
Build and manage production-ready dbt pipelines, incorporating detailed financial models that require high accuracy and reliability.
Provide mentorship and guidance to other analysts regarding dbt usage, SQL data modeling, rigorous testing, and code reviews.
Optimize Snowflake performance and monitor expenses, ensuring pipeline stability and strong operational visibility.
Create automation and tooling scripts using Python, leveraging AWS Lambda, S3, orchestration tools, and metadata pipelines.
Lead the integration of AI capabilities into analytics engineering, creating reusable AI skills for dbt documentation, code generation, and testing.
Monitor advancements in AI tools and agentic frameworks, testing new methodologies to determine their practical value for the data team.
Requirements
Minimum of four years working within analytics engineering, data engineering, or closely related disciplines.
Extensive practical background in dbt, specifically involving dbt Cloud administration tasks like CI/CD, job scheduling, and environment management beyond basic modeling.
Advanced expertise in SQL query writing and data modeling principles.
Demonstrated production experience with Snowflake, encompassing cost management and performance optimization.
Proficiency in Python dedicated to data tooling and automation tasks.
Familiarity with core AWS infrastructure utilized in data ecosystems, including S3 and Lambda.
Proven track record of managing mission-critical data pipelines, covering incident management, data quality assurance, and stakeholder communication.
Prior experience mentoring or assisting data analysts.
Professional fluency in English.
Nice to Have
Practical knowledge of building agentic AI workflows, LLM-based agents, and automated engineering solutions.
Exposure to multi-agent architectures, subagents, and agent handoff protocols.
Awareness of current AI landscape trends and the ability to filter practical applications for data teams.
Experience working within multi-project dbt architectures, such as dbt Mesh or cross-project referencing.
Familiarity with finance or revenue analytics, including reporting accuracy and reconciliation.
Background working in gaming, mobile applications, or consumer tech analytics.
Understanding of marketing and attribution metrics, telemetry, or AppsFlyer.
Holding a valid dbt certification.
