Role Overview
Wargaming is hiring an Analytics Engineer for the Mobile BI and New Games team in Belgrade to own dbt Cloud and maintain critical analytics pipelines. This hybrid role is well-suited for a data professional with deep technical expertise who enjoys mentoring peers and working with modern AI-assisted workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Administer dbt Cloud across the organization, covering project setups, environments, permissions, CI/CD, version upgrades, and cost control.
Set up and support multiple independent dbt projects while establishing common standards and conventions.
Develop and maintain production dbt pipelines, including complex finance models requiring high accuracy and trust.
Mentor other analysts on dbt, SQL modeling, testing, and code reviews.
Tune Snowflake performance and cost while improving pipeline reliability and monitoring.
Build tooling and automation using Python, AWS Lambda, S3, orchestration, and metadata workflows.
Drive AI adoption by building common AI skills for dbt development and automated agentic workflows for the entire team.
Follow AI tooling and agentic system trends, evaluate new approaches, and integrate useful ones into daily operations.
Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related field.
Strong hands-on background in dbt, specifically including dbt Cloud administration such as jobs, environments, and CI/CD.
Advanced SQL and data modeling capabilities.
Production-level experience with Snowflake, featuring cost awareness and performance tuning.
Proficiency in Python for data tooling and automation.
Practical experience with AWS data platform services like Lambda and S3.
Demonstrated ownership of business-critical pipelines, data quality testing, incident handling, and communication with non-technical stakeholders.
Previous experience mentoring or supporting analysts.
Fluent English language skills.
Availability for hybrid work requiring 3 days in the Belgrade office (note that relocation and immigration support are not provided).
Nice to Have
Strong understanding of agentic AI workflows, including practical experience building LLM-based agents, AI skills, and automated engineering workflows.
Experience with multi-agent setups, such as orchestration of multiple agents, subagents, and agent-to-agent handoffs.
Awareness of current AI space trends and the ability to judge practical value for data teams.
Experience managing multi-project dbt setups like dbt Mesh or cross-project references.
Background handling finance or revenue data requiring reconciliation and reporting-grade accuracy.
Previous analytics background in gaming, mobile apps, or consumer products.
Familiarity with product telemetry or marketing and attribution data like AppsFlyer.
Holding a dbt certification.
