Role Overview

Sonar is seeking an AI Systems Engineer (f/m/d) to join the Business Technology team full-time in Bochum. This role suits a passionate technologist eager to design, build, and operationalize AI-augmented internal systems to reduce operational friction and enhance outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Own the design, build, and operationalization of AI-augmented systems across the internal technology ecosystem.
Engineer AI agents and connectors while automating workflows end-to-end.
Build and maintain integrations across the enterprise tool stack, incorporating platforms like Jira Service Management and the broader Atlassian suite.
Operationalize AI-native capabilities such as Enterprise Apps connectors, Claude Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations, and Rovo agents.
Provide internal teams with faster, smarter workflows while giving leadership real-time visibility, consistent governance, and scalable platforms.

Requirements

Experience working at the intersection of AI-native operations, enterprise platform engineering, and IT service management.
Proven ability to engineer AI agents, connectors, and end-to-end automation pipelines.
Familiarity with Jira Service Management and the Atlassian suite, along with enterprise tool stack integration experience.
