About this role
Lightning Labs is seeking an AI Product Engineer for a remote position to help expand Bitcoin's global payment infrastructure. This full-time role suits a self-directed builder who can rapidly prototype and ship software across multiple teams and projects.
Role Overview
Lightning Labs builds protocols like the Lightning Network, Taproot Assets, and L402 that serve as payment rails for global developers and autonomous AI agents. As an AI Product Engineer, this is not a single-product position. The chosen candidate will shift across the organization to tackle high-leverage projects each week, from constructing developer demos and automated workflows to standing up MCP servers and shipping features in Terminal Web. The ideal individual thrives in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment and embraces AI-native tooling to solve complex problems.
