About this role

LocalStack is hiring a remote AI Enablement Engineer based in Spain to build internal tools and automate workflows across departments. This full-time position suits an experienced technologist with a background in software engineering and consulting or business operations.

Role Overview

The AI Enablement Engineer embeds across various teams including Engineering, Go-To-Market, People, Support, Finance, and Operations. The primary objective is to identify operational friction, capture automation opportunities, and drive real technology adoption through workshops, pairing sessions, and office hours.

Key Responsibilities

Identify areas where artificial intelligence can remove operational friction and automate manual workflows reliably.
Build internal tools and intelligent agents end-to-end by connecting the current technology stack to daily employee workflows.
Drive genuine adoption by conducting workshops, pairing, and office hours, measuring success through active usage and time saved.
Partner with the Security team to establish proper guardrails, access scoping, and audit trails to protect customer and employee data.
Develop and utilize frameworks to track the value of delivered solutions by monitoring key metrics, targets, and actual results.

Requirements

Bring seven or more years of total professional experience as a software engineer, alongside background in MBB or Big4 consulting, product management, or business operations within a B2B SaaS startup or scale-up.
Demonstrate strong experience working alongside cross-functional stakeholders to drive documented adoption wins.
Show practical experience using Codex, Claude Code, or similar tools to ship working solutions, which can include personal projects.
Possess a broad understanding of artificial intelligence technology, differentiating between LLM and ML while understanding relevant patterns.
Professional proficiency in Python and TypeScript, alongside knowledge of MCP and agent-tooling patterns, evaluations, reliability, and token cost awareness.
Familiarity with Git version control platforms such as GitHub or GitLab.
Strong process design instincts with the ability to map workflows, identify failure points, and scale solutions.
Solid strategic and commercial awareness to connect deliverables directly to business goals and metrics.
