Role Overview

The AI Coach Tech Lead/Architect drives the technical delivery of digital products and mentors engineering teams. The professional in this position combines hands-on development with high-level architectural guidance, ensuring software solutions remain maintainable, secure, and performant.

Key Responsibilities

Guide the design and evolution of technology solutions to guarantee high performance, security, and scalability.
Make architectural decisions regarding microservices, modular monoliths, domain-driven design, and event-driven patterns.
Create and maintain REST APIs using contract-first practices, versioning, and secure error handling.
Establish engineering standards covering testing strategies, code reviews, observability, CI/CD, and clean code.
Mentor software engineers to build a robust delivery culture and elevate technical capabilities.
Collaborate with product management, quality assurance, UX, and stakeholders to assess risks and shape product roadmaps.
Promote AI-first engineering methods using governance, quality gates, and security guardrails.

Requirements

Ten or more years of software engineering background featuring demonstrated technical leadership.
Backend proficiency in Java with testing practices and performance awareness.
Experience in communicating and designing software architecture, including Clean architecture, SOLID principles, and API design.
Solid engineering foundations encompassing Git workflows, CI/CD, secure-by-design principles, and observability.

Nice to Have

Background in event-driven systems using Kafka or RabbitMQ, alongside CQRS patterns.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
Knowledge of OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, and OWASP security standards.
Experience managing high-traffic systems, caching strategies, and performance tuning.
Prior involvement in AI-assisted development environments with defined security guardrails.
Strong stakeholder management abilities combined with professional English communication skills.
