Role Overview

The AI 3D Dataset Engineer will lead the creation and routine upkeep of end-to-end 3D data governance and enhancement pipelines. Responsibilities include building internal cleaning, annotation, and visualization utilities, managing data schedules, and supporting the broader algorithm team with reliable, high-volume datasets.

Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain end-to-end 3D data governance and enhancement pipelines focused on geometric analysis, quality assessment, and synthesis.
Build internal tools for data cleaning, annotation, and visualization while maintaining the 3D asset quality monitoring engine.
Oversee data pipelines, integrate cleaning solutions, coordinate delivery schedules, and supply timely, high-grade data to the algorithm unit.
Establish CI/CD processes and author comprehensive technical documentation, including RFCs and system specifications.

Requirements

Academic background or practical project experience in computer graphics, with deep familiarity with mesh data structures like GLB, OBJ, USD, and FBX.
Solid understanding of geometric processing fundamentals, covering manifold detection, topology, UV unwrapping, and normal vector calculations.
Advanced software engineering proficiency in Python, coupled with the ability to use relevant graphics and data processing libraries.
Practical knowledge of core data structures, algorithms, and techniques for processing large datasets scaling to tens of millions of points.
Strong technical writing abilities to clearly record operational workflows and development logic.

Nice to Have

Advanced proficiency in C++ and CUDA programming for optimizing high-performance data indexing or search engines like KNN Graph.
Direct exposure to generative AI 3D products and their core technical foundations.
Background utilizing big data platforms like Databricks or familiarity with vector databases and indexing algorithms.
Experience overseeing external annotation teams, outsourced projects, and coordinating project schedules.
Personal interest in 3D printing, laser engraving, or independent game development.
